The Drive gives annual donations to Sevenoaks Youth Trust and to Churches Together in Sevenoaks District (CTSD) Social Responsibility.

Here are other ways in which we are involved in the community.

The Retreat

a group of seven alms houses the rear of the church and with access to the High Street. Situated in pleasant gardens, each property is well maintained and consists of a single bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. For more details on the criteria for occupation please contact our office.

Churches Together in Sevenoaks and District (CTSD): https://www.ctsd.org.uk/ . Local highlights are: the Advent Carol Service with a united choir at the beginning of December; weekly ecumenical study/discussion groups during Lent; and a united service on Good Friday morning, followed by a “walk of witness” to Bligh’s Meadow shopping area. CTSD has many partner organisations in the town, amongst them Sevenoaks Area Youth Trust, Sevenoaks Counselling, Trinity School, and West Kent Debt Advice. Trinity School is a co-educational Secondary School is a state-funded Christian school whose aim is to provide an education that encourages students to grow and develop into all that God has called them. The Drive supports the School by regular attendance in key business meetings and monthly prayer meetings. 

The Drive is one of 29 local churches that have come together to form Sevenoaks Churches Educational Trust which appoints the majority of the School’s Governing Body. 

 

The local food bank based at St. John the Baptist Church, is given regular support by The Drive.
